I am wondering what is the correct way to set permissions on a shared folder "home" which will contain home folders for multiple users, each of which should only be accessible by the user who it belongs to.
I am a unsure because the OMV GUI seems to be set up so that, when home folders are created, they are stored in a single shared folder. I can change the permissions for the shared folder but then it would seem that these permissions would be applied identically to each of the home folders.
Ultimately, I would also like these home folders to be accessible to the appropriate users as Samba shares. Will it be possible to have the home folders having the same read/write restrictions when viewed as Samba shares?
