Raid 10 degraded every time I start system

I had this problem with all my installations RAID, either with Ubuntu Server or any nas system. My problem was that some hard drive showed minor errors during the scan and raid system are very sensitive (in my opinion). This is THE reason why I turned to OpenMediaVault and Greyhole plugin which makes you a big disk array (JBOD concatenation storage pool). Since that time I have no errors and the problem of degraded raid This also lets you replace a failed disk to another without losing your data. Then you have to choose the number of copy protection of your files. Example, a photo folder, you do 3 copies, so it copies itself to 3 HD. Then 2 copies movies, so the files folder is duplicated on 2 HD. etc. .. etc. .. you have the choice.

I think part of the problem people are having with RAID might be they are not using disks that are meant for RAID. Battery Backup is also crucial when one is using RAID.
