Is there a way to split a linear raid?

I have an old OMV system which has a 5TB and 8TB in linear. is there a way to move all data onto the 5TB and safely use it and use the 8TB for something else there is only 3TB of date on there.

If i deleted raid would i be able to mount the drives without formatting them.

if this is a mdadm raid you are referring to, no. You have to copy **ALL** of the data off them before repurposing the drives, if you don't want to loose it.
