Hello.
I have a problem with an OMV setup with a simple SMB share.
Here is the setup :
- old computer with 2 HDD
- HDD in RAID mirror mode, formated as EXT4
- SMB shared folders on the mirror
- X users with rights to read/write access in those folders
Problem is :
- User1 opens Microsoft Word (or other soft) : the soft creates temporary file (with a ~ in the name) to prevent other users to access it
- User1 closes the software
- User2 try to open same file with software but can't access the file
In the folder, the temp file is still present, with ~ in the name : deleting it manually is ok from any user account (accessing SMB share in Windows Explorer) and then User2 can now opens the file.
Fact is : sometimes (not always but many times), when closing a software, the temp file is not deleted !
I can't figure why or which files : it is very random.
It happens with Word, Solidwaroks (a very heavy soft which open many files at the same time so it creates many temp files in a lot of directories, bothering you to delete all of them manually), so it is not a software problem.
Is it possible that my setup is not well done (Ext4 ?) or do I need to change any OMV option ?
Got this problem with OMV 5 and now 6.
Thanks a lot for help !
