RAID1 troubleshooting

    A bit new to OMV OS. Let me first explain what I have done, then I'll post my query as well.

    So, I have converted an old i5 desktop into my NAS with OMV. It has two 500GB HDD only. I want to configure RAID1 (Mirroring) between the two HDDS.


    Now, to my issue, when I access the 'SMART storage', it just shows me 1 HDD, the one in which the OS wasn't installed. So, kindly advice, how I can achieve my goal.

    OMV will not allow you to do that. The disk containung the operation system is not meant to be used for user data. BTW, it is not possible to create a RAID with a disk that already contain data. You need to have a third disk to create a RAID that can be used in OMV to store user data.
