Moving A RAID 5 Array

Hi

I've just purchase an Adaptec Serial ATA RAID 2410SA from Ebay as I my NAS is full!!! The NAS has one RAID 5 array with 3 * 500g drives which I created in OMV and I would like to know if I could simply plug the RAID 5 array into the adaptec card and will OMV pick it up as normal? I ask ask the Adaptec card is limited to max device size of 1TB and max RAID array of 2TB. If I move the current RAID onto the card it will then let me buy some new 2 TB drives which can be plugged into the motherboard.

Hope this makes sense.

The card hasn't arrived yet so I can't test this out.

Any thoughts?

Cool, Yes I was planning just to use the software RAID with in OMV.
