installation on a SD/SDHC/SDXC card

  • Hi,
    a noob question:
would I please be able to install OMV into and boot from an SD if I found my HP Chromebook 14 (FALCO) bios (upgradable to a Seabios) support it?
This chromebook of mine has a SD/SDHC/SDXC built-in reader.

What I'm thinking is: will it slow down the system (and therefore the overall NAS) performance?
Regarding the wear leveling problem apparently "SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC and SDXC UHS-I Memory Cards" (and probably others) have a built in Advanced Wear Leveling and Error Correction Code engine enhances endurance and reliability (http://www.sandisk.com.au/prod…ro-sdxc-sdhc-uhs-1-95mbs/) but I'm not so sure if that's enough of not..

    Thanks

  • It won't slow down your system. Alltough the question remains how good that wear leveling on those sd cards really is.

    Greetings
    David

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
