Where is the log of login of WebGUI?

  • Dear Developers,

I need "WebGUI login" log. Because this log is to know which IP address is doing trial and error of a password.
but I cannot find "WebGUI login" log at syslog.
Does its function exist? If it exists, which place should be seen?

    Best Regards,

  • I'm pretty sure the authentication log contains it, but I'm not sure that you'll be able to see the IP-address.

  • Thanks to reply,

Only a message of CRON, su and sshd is found.
A message of "WebGUI login" isn't found at "Authentication".
How should it be done? or Is "output in-depth(*1) log of WebGUI login" addition of the functions performed?

    *1 e.g. IP-address etc...

  • You're right. I thought it should be there since OMV use PAM for authentication. Couldn't find anything related myself.

A workaround would be to look in /var/log/nginx/openmediavault-webgui_access.log and check the addresses.

  • Thanks to reply nginx access infomation.

I think this log is not user-friendly.Indistinct.

If a developer is capable of addition of the functions, I want you to go.

:!: The function I craved was assortment of the IP which can indicate a "WebGUI login" screen. (e.g. apache .htaccess ipfiltering "order allow, deny" like function)

iptables has wide variety of use, but the setting is complex and difficult. <X

  • I agree that it's not easy to read. It was more a suggestion to use in the meantim since it should at least be better than nothing. :)
