Have you tried restarting the service with systemctl restart openmediavault-engined.service?
What happens when you run monit stop omv-engined and omv-engined -d -f?

What system are we talking about? AMD64, ARM, ...
The posix_setsid function is shipped with PHP by default. Please run
and post the output.
The only reason i can imagine is that the PHP package that is installed on your system is not build by Debian and therefor maybe compiled without the pcntl extension.
I just upgraded to OMV7 from 6 and tried to install this but there is no K3s plugin, only "openmediavault-k8s 7.0-1" which fail to install. Am I missing or doing sometging wrong?
There is openmediavault-k8s 7.0-2 out now which should fix that. As workaround simply run wget -O - https://get.k3s.io | INSTALL_K3S_SKIP_ENABLE=true sh - from CLI.
How would k3s be updated?
If necessary, k3s is reinstalled if the file /var/lib/openmediavault/upgrade_k3s exist. I have to say i have not tested that and i count on contributions from the community to improve the plugin.
Also, is k3s pretty default so I could use networkpolicy?
See https://docs.k3s.io/networking#network-policy-controller and https://www.suse.com/c/rancher_blog/k3s-network-policy/
Strange... because the missing Disk Temperatures widget is based on the same widget type as the SMART Status widget which is displayed.
I can not test that because i do not have access to a macOS, so if this should be fixed, the community has to contribute a patch.
You're right. That plugin should appear here and it doesn't appear yet. I guess it will be corrected soon. https://docs.openmediavault.or…ble/plugins.html#overview
Done
You can run omv-release-upgrade in your OMV6 installation to upgrade to OMV7.
OMV does not handle the nut-driver unit, only a unit called nut-driver-enumerator is handled by OMV; and this only if mode is != "netclient".
BTW, this is exactly why i do not process bug reports through the forum. Issues need some feedback and interaction. It is better if this is done on the platform which is used for development. So please open an issue, or the bug (if it is one casued by OMV) will not be fixed.
Can you please open an issue at GitHub? The forum is not ideal for tracking issues.
If you have only one hard disk, this is by default reserved for the operating system. With the openmediavault-sharerootfs plugin you can create shared folders on the root file system.
omv 7 opens Diagnostics instead of Dashboard upon login, anyway to change so it defaults to Dashboard?
That's impossible, the login is hard wired to open the dashboard.
The docs https://docs.openmediavault.org/ are pointing to stable v7.
Can I install OMV7 on Debian 12 GUI environment ?
No, see https://docs.openmediavault.or…stallation/on_debian.html
The base system of OMV is Debian, so check out their documentation or use Google.
I've attached a picture
Looks very cool, but that’s not from OMV.
Alles anzeigenThanks for the suggestion - I entered each command as a seperate scheduled task as I was not sure about writing a script if it would run.
Problem 1
How to i check if it was actioned? When I rebooted the system I was sure that the backlight command was not run - nothing changed - so I presume all commands were not run.
Problem 2
I have is that the 4 drive devices sda, sdb, sdc, sdd are random - one is a card which will fail
Plus the commands do not run when I reboot the server - any advice on how to change "at reboot" - this only appeared after I had created a timed entry then I could change it to "at reboot"
I would prefer to run a script if possible?
see here:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=216832
Solution was:
CodeACTION=="add|change", KERNEL=="sd[a-z]", ATTRS{queue/rotational}=="1", RUN+="/usr/bin/hdparm -B 128 -S 180 /dev/%k"
But being noobie I am not sure where to put this in OMV 7? The above code is from ArchLinux
Any help most welcome! Thanks.
Why do you want to use hdparm? It has been removed in OMV7 and smartmontools is used instead to configure AAM, APM and whatever for physical disks. There is a UI that allows you to configure that easily per device.
the login background- the disk on the circuit board
No, OMV does not support theming, except light/dark mode.
What exactly do you want to change?
Alles anzeigenokay found the problem:
sshd_config
and groups
Codeusers cdrom floppy sudo audio dip video plugdev netdev _ssh openmediavault-notify openmediavault-webgui openmediavault-admin openmediavault-engined openmediavault-config jokergermany nextcloud matrix
=> _ssh vs ssh
In that case the SSH configuration is not deployed; maybe because of the other troubles.
Run omv-salt deploy run ssh.
Maybe it is necessary to delete /etc/default/nfs-common and /etc/default/nfs-kernel-server as well.
