  • remote mount error on boot

    Hi @all,


    I've tested the Remotemount Plugin and now I can't get rid of errors on boot.


    I have deleted all previously created mount points.
    my Fstab has no reference to any of the tested mount points but on Boot the system tells me that there was an error mounting the "old" mount points.


    How can I solve this ?

    I'm running OMV 6.3.8.1 with remote mount plugin 6.1.1






    When I uninstall the plugin , I get the repeating error on CLI ..... "CIFS error no username specified"

  • moving disks with snapraid-parity to new system hardware and OMV Version ???

    i have a queastion about moving my existing Disks with Snapraid-Parity to a new Hardware.


    In my old OMV 4 System (openmediavault Arrakis 4.1.36-1 and 'openmediavault-snapraid' 3.7.7)

    the disk where mounted by name and add to snapraid.conf like the following....

disk data02 /srv/dev-disk-by-label-data02
parity /srv/dev-disk-by-label-parity01/snapraid.parity


    now I have prepared a new system with OMV 6.3 and was testing for the new Snapraid config.


    I now see that harddisk are mounted like this by UUID in /srv

    when simulating this in Snapraid Plugin I can see the following in the Conf file. it now points to the name by uuid

    so , what happens when I move all my disk ( 14 Data Disks and 2 Parity Disks ) to the new system , mount them to the system and add them to the snapraid config.


    Do I need to completely renew / recompute my Parity for all disks ? or will the existing Version of the Parity be kept ? :/


    Hope I could make clear what I try to achive.

  • Frage zu OMV 6 Neuinstallation mit Docker, iGPU, Quicksync

    Hallo zusammen,

    ich plane gerade meinen neuen OMV Server. Der alte ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und beherrbergt immernoch Version 4


    Die Hardware:

    Intel I5 - 11400 mit iGPU HD730

    GIGABYTE H510M H

    16 GB DDR4


    Ziel ist dann zusätzlich zum Grundsystem innerhalb von Docker eine Plex Server zubetreiben.


    Folgende Fragen haben sich ergeben :


    1.) reicht es für Plex (in Docker) dann einfach /dev/dri durchzureichen und alles läuft out-of-the-Box oder muss ich noch intel-media-va-driver installieren ?


    2.) reicht die Standard OMV ISO zur Installation oder ist es besser 64-bit Debian 11 zu installieren und danach dann OMV drauf ?

    I am currently planning my new OMV server. The old one is quite outdated and still hosts version 4


    The new hardware:

    Intel I5 - 11400 with iGPU HD730

    16 GB DDR4


    The goal is then to run a Plex server in addition to the base system inside Docker.


    The following questions have arisen :


    1.) is it enough for Plex (in Docker) then just pass /dev/dri through and everything runs out-of-the-box or do I still need to install intel-media-va-driver ?


    2.) is the standard OMV ISO enough to install or is it better to install 64-bit Debian 11 and then OMV on top ?

  • OMV 4.x omv-extras Virtualbox installation problem.

    same Problem here. ;(


    Tried Promox Kernel. Did not work.


    Problem came after updating to omv 4.1.26-1 the last days.... :huh:

    Ich konnte mein EOL 3.0.99 jetzt upgraden auf das aktuelle Arakis 4.1.22


    Ich habe die openmediavault-kernel-backports.list verschoben
    von /etc/apt/sources.list.d in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/_old



    Danach hab ich noch die /etc/apt/sources.list bearbeitet:
    - alle Einträge auskommentiert und nur folgende 2 aktiv gehabt.


    deb http://deb.debian.org/debian jessie main
    deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security jessie/updates main


    Danach konnte ich mit omv-release-upgrade erfolgreich Hochstufen.
    Im Moment sieht soweit alle gut aus. Kann keine Fehler derzeit entdecken.

    Hallo zusammen,
    seit kurzem erhalte ich beim Prüfen in der Aktualisierungsverwaltung folgende Fehlermeldungen.
    Unter Erweiterungen ebenfalls.
    Ich kann somit auch keine neuen mehr abrufen.


    Was kann ich tun??


    meine Sources.list unter /etc/apt/ schaut so aus...

  • Teamvierer-Host working only one time after enabling

    Hi @all,
    i need a little help from the specialists... :)


    I've installed the Teamviewer-Host Plugin. (on OMV 3.0.99)
    After the Installation finished i've enabled the Plugin and saw directly the given ID for Connection.
    With the reset Button i've change the Password to a one i like.


    First connection Try after that worked fine from my Laptop.
    Then i restarted the System ....


    After that, the ID has changed !
    Anyway.... I tried connecting with the new ID and my password , but connecting
    was not possible 'cause it says that Password might be wrong. ;(
    Tried to change the Password with the reset button and reconnection. Did not work. :(
    Then tried resetting password with "teamviewer passwd xxxxx". . Did not work either.


    Then i reinstalled the Plugin and the above described process was the same.


    What am I Doing wrong? ?(
    Any help or Tip?

  • Laufwerk fehlend, aber referenziert, obwohl keine Referenzen zu finden sind

    Hallo zusammen,
    ich habe ein Problem, wofür ich keine passende Lösung finden konnte.
    Ich hoffe, ich habe keinen Thread übersehen.


    Ich habe eine defekte Festplatte, die mit dem Laufwerksstatus FEHLEND angezeigt wird und
    zugleich referenziert JA.


    Allerdings finde ich nirgends irgendwelche Referenzen.


    Bei den Freigegeben Ordner ist nix mehr.
    Unter Union-Filesysteme auch nicht. Die Platte war Teil eines Datenpools mit mergerFS.
    Und auch ansonsten finde ich keine Einträge bei den Plugins zu dieser ehemals vorhandenen Platte.


    Wie krieg ich die nun da raus ??
    Bei jedem Systemstart sucht er 90 Sekunden nach der Platte bevor er weiter lädt.


    Gibt es eine einfache Möglichkeit die angebliche Referenz zu ermitteln ? ?(

  • virtualbox Pfad ändern?

    Hallo zusammen,
    ungünstigerweise habe ich im Virtualbox Plugin den Pfad auf den Mergerfs Pool gelegt.


    Ich würde nun den Pfad ändern, sodass hier eine Platte direkt genutzt wird und nicht der Pool.


    Im Frontend, kann ich den Pfad aber nicht mehr verändern. Ist ausgegraut.
    Kann man das in Konfigfiles irgendwo anpassen? ?(

  • Nicht mehr vorhandene Festplatte aus Konfiguration löschen

    Hallo zusammen,


    mir ist eine meiner Festplatten "gestorben".
    Diese war Teil von Snapraid und dem mergerFS Pool.


    Unter Festplatten wird mir diese nun immer noch angezeigt und bei jedem starten versucht OMV diese auch 90 Sekunden lang zu finden.


    In OMV kann ich sie aber nicht rauslöschen und im MergerFS Pool taucht sie auch an NV auf und dort kann ich sie auch nicht entfernen.


    Was muss ich tun um die loszuwerden? ?(

  • Plexmediaserver - Database Path ignored

    Hi @all,
    i have recognized a strange behaviour with my Plax install.



    I have the newest Plugin installed with the OMV-Extras Plugin.
    In the WebUI i have set the Database path to a location on my Snapraid Pool.



    But this is ignored. ?(



    The File- and Folderstructure is there but the Plexmediaserver still uses the original path at
    /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Is there a way to correct that?Regards,
