I will wait maybe tomorrow if this update are done during the night
If you see the updates in the Updates tab, you should be fine to install them.
There is no update available in the update tab ... That's why I am a little bit confused ....
Hello
Si I ve made my release upgrade and it seems to be ok. I had to run the command
sudo omv-salt stage run deploy
after the reboot as I was unable to reach the Web gui (Bad gateway)
Every service are working fine so far (rsync, compose, backup etc ...)
Today I had this message:

You can perform the upgrade by issuing the command:
apt-get dist-upgrade
as root on omvyvc.local
I am not sure I need to perform this command ...
Any advice ?

If you have a working OS drive backup and no errors on omv-upgrade you can continue with omv-release-upgrade
If running the upgrade remotely, use a screen session to prevent lost connection.
Running locally has no problems.
Hello
I like to upgrade from 6.0 to 7.0
I tried to follow the procedure and I have one question:
After this command : sudo omv-salt stage run deploy
I have this message :
quotacheck: Your kernel probably supports ext4 quota feature but you are using external quota files. Please switch your filesyst em to use ext4 quota feature as external quota files on ext4 are deprecated.
quotacheck: Scanning /dev/sdd1 [/srv/dev-disk-by -uuid-44290a9d-1198-4ae5-9dc8-cf8d27a0eff4] quotacheck: Checked 5737 directories
and finally as this command is very verbose. to what I need to be careful ?
At the end I have that
stdout:

Hello
I installed omv 6 on my old dell XPS 420
Before I was running omv 5 and at this time I am sure I was able to use my cd rom drive. I was even able to rip audio cd using abcde with the command line
I made a test yesterday and it is like my cd rom is not recognised.
At the time I think I installed a library like libcdio ?
So my question is. Do I have to re install these library or . Is it a problem of omv 6
on dmsg I see my cd rom drive as sr0
Any idea about that ?
Thank for your help
Yes. As always you should have a backup of your data.
Please note that OMV5 is end of life. OMV6 is the current version. Consider upgrading to OMV6.
Thank you for the answer. Migration to omv 6 is planned. I am trying to check everything before the operation.
Hello
I am using omv 5.
when I install my disk i used wrongly a gparted 32 bit and this results a maximum partition of 4TB. So one partition of 4tb is currently in use and I want to add now the extra space of my 5TB disk.
Can I use gparted in order to do that ? without effet on omv ?
There is the option of resize but I am not sure i can do that in this case.
thanks
