    blkid has worked fine for years and does on all of the systems I manage at work. I'm not sure why it isn't working on your system. I have never moved a LUKS disk to another machine though. I need to try it.

    apparently one of the drives was faulty

    I used the posts you linked and managed to recover the raid partition

    I have OMV installed on a proxmox VM and the drive showed faulty in proxmox, so now I'm ordering a new drive.
