OMV8 will be released when it is ready. See also other posts with the same message
Why not start with OM7 and release-upgrade to OMV8 once it is stable? -

I want to get started with OMV from scratch.
And I'm wondering whether the new OMV 8.x Stable version will be released in the next few days/ weeks.
Can anyone say? Or will it be next year?
Thx

If I enable the NVMe drive for files, will OMV control that drive?

Yes, I just saw that the Raspberry Pi 5 has some special boot features. Apparently, simply removing the SD card is enough. https://www.raspberrypi.com/do…essories/m2-hat-plus.html
However, it's recommended to separate the data from the system drive. So I… -

Before installing OMV, I was sharing in the SD card. I cloned the SD card to the NVMe drive and it was booting from there. -

Install the omv-sharerootfs plugin. This will allow you to create shared folders on the SD card, although it's not recommended.
Regarding cloning the card to the NVMe drive, I'm not a Raspberry Pi expert, but I'm afraid that won't work so easily. You'll…
