Read what I said again. If any system on your network gets a virus or malware, it could compromise your OMV box. I have seen it happen. Your choice though. -

Depending on what you are running on that old system, a fresh install of v8 would not be difficult, particularly if you are not using any docker containers. Simple take some screen shots of your configurations and/or take a copy of the omv config xml… -
