    If you really want to help a project and suggest fixes, you should test the the fix before submitting it to the project. I have seen plenty of false positives out of security scanning tools.

    epmfs is the default mergerfs policy. So, the plugin follows that. I don't know why it is hard to change either way.

    We only fixed the code where we identified potential flaws but we did not actually retest the functionality afterwards. If the functionality no longer works, perhaps we should review the implementation of the functionality if the flaw is real.

    I already changed the policy to most free space for the mergerfs pool after reading exact the github link you posted ;-).
    Thanks for your suggestion, I'll go with this policy.
    I can't understand why "most free space" isn't the default policy.

    For example, you can use the same one you are using (more free space) but without an existing route. That will create the folder automatically on each drive but will spread out the data.

    OMV only uses XML files written by itself; no external content. Additional no DTD or external entities are used. So i think it is not necessary to use the suggested library in OMV.
