    Why not run OMV with the KVM plugin and keep HA in a VM? No need to use proxmox on such a low powered machine.

    You could use something like fail2ban for some of that. Other parts are client side settings. If you want ftp, why not just use ftps?

    @"ftriscari" You are preaching to the same quire. I just find myself dumbfounded that solution to OMV backup was always there --> timeshift. I use it every day on my Linux boxes, but it never accrued to me to use timeshift on OMV, This is so obvious…

    Ok, were getting somewhere. It seems my root folder wasn't owned by root anymore for some reason.

    chown root.root / fixed it. Folder is there again. So definitely not anything to do with mergerfs or flash memory plugins.
