Problem booting install CD

I had almost exactly the same issue and disabling the serial ports in the bios solved the problem

I know this is a old thread,

Had this same problem with ISOLinux
disabled in BIOS, the 2 Serial ports and Floppy disk port.

Same issue here on a Pentium IV.
I was unable to find the serial port key in the advanced bios settings so I installed OMV 0.3.
Now the system updates to 0.5.49.

For the next time: Try booting a Debian Squeeze (for OpenMediaVault Sardauk) or Wheezy (for OpenMediaVault Kralizec) ISO, this should work.
