Hello!
Since I trashed my OMV 1.19 installation by upgrading it to 3.xx I decided to do a complete reinstall. I am using a BananaPI. First I unplugged all the HDDs, than I flashed Bananian 16.04 on the SD-card, it's a based on Debian 8/Jessie.
Than I tried to follow this tutorial but instead of intalling stoneburner I tried to install erasmus. I got stuck at the install openmediavault part though.
root@BanaNAS ~ # apt-get install openmediavault

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
openmediavault : Depends: systemd but it is not installable
Depends: systemd-sysv but it is not installable

No systemd? I tried to install it:
root@BanaNAS ~ # apt-get install systemd

Package systemd is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
libsystemd-dev
E: Package 'systemd' has no installation candidate

If I understand the problem correctly, Bananian doesn't come with systemd but with something else. No packages are being held btw. I could install systemd after I deleted the file /etc/apt/preferences.d/systemd. I found the tip for it here
Afterwards I could install OMV without a problem.
Maybe this helps fellow BananaPi user. If I did something horribly wrong please enlighten me
Cheers plissk3n
