If you run Proxmox, then backing up VMs is trivial and you leave Proxmox itself pretty much bog standard. There is no need for RAID or even backup of the host system. If something goes wrong, you reinstall Proxmox and restore the VMs.

Was hoping i could get @Ryecoaaron's opinion on my initial question. Do I run these services Sonarr etc in Containers or simply from OMV
I don't use any of those plugins. Luxflow said he would run them directly in OMV.

I would say, if you run virtual server, span up clean OMV VM , mount the data store there and run all of them using plugins just in that clean OMV setup.
you will basically be using OMV as a Management backend for this apps nothing else. -

I am currently building a new Proxmox server and intend to move my OMV installation to this server. Currently I run the following plugins on OMV
Coutchpotato
NZBGet
Transmission
SonarrMy question is should I move these applications to LXC containers or keep them as part of my OMV3 install?
Are there some benefits to running these application in their own containers?Regards
@terencefaul wanted to check in and see if you have successfully installed OMV on Proxmox. are you using OMV 3? were you able to passthrough your ZFS build (assuming you are using ZFS)?

We are talking about installing omv on vm running on proxmox.
And it works well. I had done it in my test rig. Get this
