Error on when try to enable ftp
-
-
Open /etc/proftpd/modules.conf and look for the line
LoadModule mod_tls_memcache.c
Uncomment the line to fix the problem.
-
I Comment line with # and still have same error.

Hi,
I have the same error. The line with "LoadModule mod_tls_memcache.c" is already uncomment, if I try to comment the error still here.
For complete information I tried to start proftpd directly from shell and I have thie error:
Zitatroot@raspberrypi:~# /etc/init.d/proftpd start
Starting ftp server: proftpdraspberrypi proftpd[3890]: mod_tls_memcache/0.1: notice: unable to register 'memcache' SSL session cache: Memcache support not enabled
Illegal instruction
failed!Do you know a way to resolve this ?

i have the same problem with my raspberry pi B+ . I found the solution here:
Can't acivate FTPBut there is still a problem. Each time i make an upgrade i have to repeat the steps mentioned there.
Is it possible for programmer of the raspberry image to solve this problem.
regards Gerhard

Will be fixed in new version of image I am working on right now. I also added the package to the repo so you won't have to fix it each time you upgrade.
-
New image is on sourceforge.
-
Thanks for your work. Is it possible to just do an update ? Or is it mandatory to use the image ?
-
Also many thanks from me for providing the new raspberry image. I have started from scratch. FTP and NFS service now operating with no problem.
-
updating will fix the ftp issue but not the nfs issue. nfs issue can be fixed with commands above though.
