Crash of System Disc

  • System Disk crashed but the data disk is fine. I also have a good backup from the data disk via USB Backup plugin.
The system was version 2.2.13 .
What is the established method to recover?
Should I just do a brand new 3.x install?

  • unless you have a good uptodate image of system disk your only choice is to reinstall.
and if you do not use any special must-have plugins that have not been ported to v3 I would go with the latest version.

  • OK,
So what is the established method in this case?
    1) Install 3.x
    2) Mount the data disk
    3) Recreate Users and Groups
    4) Recreate the shares
    5) Configure services.
