Possible to add other logs to system log viewer?

Hi,

I have a couple of CRON scripts which I output to the /var/log/ directory and was wondering if there was a way to add their output to the log view from the webpage? I appreciate it's not for everyone, but I wouldn't mind adjusting it, if necessary, with updates.

From what I can tell, you would need to modify /var/www/openmediavault/js/omv/module/admin/Logs.js. Looks like there is a block for each log file. And this would get overwritten with each OMV update.

+1, e.g.: iam logging my smart hdd temparature of my 3ware-controller connected harddisks to /var/log/ so this could be very handy.

Ahhh. Just had a quick look, and the stateId field looks ....

How is the stateId field generated, and do I need it for my logs? Not up on any Javascript stuff...

I may be wrong but I think stateId just needs to be unique.
