I don't know when it started, but it I had this issue with VirtualBox when I changed it to run in it's own pool. But instead of getting the error sometimes it made the whole rpc unresponsive. I fixed that problem though, so I hope that shouldn't be the problem. I tried uninstalling it but I think it's still there. It's hard to narrow it down.
OMV 6.0

it started when i installed omv 1.0.7 to get omv-extra's to work after that i had the connection faillure errors and php5-fpm eating my cpu resources.
come to think of that is that not related? php5-fpm eat's my resources and the connection fails a few times because once php5-fpm is done with whatever it is doing the connection error's are also gone.
-
Well then this problem cannot be same for both of you correct? Because there was never upgrade to make vbox run with it's own pool pushed out. Correct????
-
-
Yes there was that's the one being used with 1.0.7
-
Sub, how did you upgrade to 1.0.7? via command line? or did you enable the pre-release repo?
-
I built it myself
I'm going to use the fpm slow log and see if I can get a clue.
-
my problem is solved thanks tekkbebe
my errors are gone and so is php5-fpm eating my resources
-
I installed 1.0.7 via wget and in cli. It is working perfect for me and now when I logout of phpvirtualbox web page I do not get logged out of OMV's webgui.
There is some issue with this pre-release repo. I dunno wtf it is.
Good to hear Jonathan...
-
thats true
-
Hooray, one of the reasons users should not blindly use it and let it activated all the time.
This problem will only happen once, so only activate the pre-release repo if you really want to get of the problem right away, but deactivate it afterwards!

No, I think no one should use the pre-release. Not even for single package install. If something is in that repo they should use wget and install via cli.
-
None the less, it's a weird issue. I got something out of it, I found a bug in the VirtualBox plugin
Two actually.

I'm outta here. Back to work...

I installed wheezy as a VM in virtualbox. Deselected all pacakages except system utils (no gui desktop) and installed 7.6 using the netinstall image. I then followed the directions here and added the omv repo for kralizec and installed it. I tried to pull up its web UI and nginx returned a '502 bad gateway'. I searched and found that I needed to change it to listen on localhost - http://wildlyinaccurate.com/so…ateway-with-nginx-php-fpm
So now its working as expected! I didnt see this mentioned in this thread anywhere and just wanted to pass it on. Did I forget something or is this something I should open a ticket for?
-
You shouldn't have to do this. But feel free to report the bug on the bugtracker if you think it was caused by Kralizec. Then Volker will look into it.
Greetings

same here, but I haven't fixed it yet
Installed over Debian wheezy...[quote='earbiter','http://forums.openmediavault.org/index.php/Thread/4993-OMV-6-0/?postID=45545#post45545']... installed 7.6 ....I then followed the directions here and added the omv repo for kralizec and installed it. I went and flipped it back and rebooted and it still worked leading me to believe that all that was really needed after the install was a reboot before trying to use it.

I tried the way David wrote, but when i try to install i get this error:
