Did you try a different browser? Incognito/private window? Clear browser cache?

In Chrome, press F12 to get the javascript debugger. Look for errors in the console output. What change did you make that might have caused this?

Can you login as root locally or over ssh? If so, execute omv-mkconf omvextrasorg aptclean and try a private window again.

What is the output of the following:
service nginx status
service openmediavault-engined status
service apache2 status -
Now, try:
monit stop omv-engined
omv-engined -dfWhile leaving that window open so you look for errors, go to the web interface.

Did it show any errors when you went to the web interface? What is the output of: dpkg -l | grep openmediavault and df -h What type of drive is OMV installed on?

Your root drive is full. I'm guessing you had an rsync job copy to the root drive or lots of logging?? Clear up some space and it should work again.

Remove root?? Not sure what you mean but doesn't sound like something I would do. You need to free up space some in the / (root) drive not /media/ drives. The following command will tell you where the 10 largest files in /var and /usr directories are located:
du -a /var/ | sort -n -r | head -n 10
du -a /usr/ | sort -n -r | head -n 10 -

The big space user is not in those directories. How about:
du -a /home/ | sort -n -r | head -n 10
du -a /opt/ | sort -n -r | head -n 10
du -a /root/ | sort -n -r | head -n 10
