Extplorer user question

  • In the plugin it says "Give the extplorer user read or read/write privileges to any shared folder to be accessed in eXtplorer.". But without granting the extplorer user read or read/write privileges it already had access to all my shared folders, the whole OS drive in-fact.

I feel like I'm missing something, did I do something wrong?

You have read access but probably not write access.

  • Yes, that makes sense. I did confirm I only have read access for the OS drive. Also, since I created my shared folders with the default 'r/w r/w r' and the extplorer user is a member of 'users', there is already access for 'r/w' from the group setting without adding any privileges to the user.
