Slow USB3 speed - Does the Backports kernel in OMV3 support this PCIE card?

I'm really getting knee deep into OMV and I'm almost there. I bought a PCI-E USB3 card so that I can transfer files from an external USB3 drive to the NAS and also use the external USB drive for backup. However, I am getting a maximum of 55 MB/s read speed. As a result, my write speed is 55 MB/s to my internal hard drive. I have 'Debian Backports' enabled in OMV Extras. However, I can't see anything in plugins that includes installing anything related to it as such. Am I missing something? Does OMV3 support what I'm trying to do (USB3 speed from external USB3 HD via USB3 PCI-E card)?

I "think" that this card has a VLI chip (judging from the photo). I'll have to take a look at it in my case if anyone needs this info.

The card is based on a VIA XHCI Host Controller

Maybe it is connected USB 2.0 high speed (480mbps=60mb/s?)
Could you post output of `lsusb -v`
Also VIA chip is taiwan company known as poor linux support try NEC/renesas or other vendor

Also Try disable vt-d(iommu) in bios and `vim /etc/default/grub` add parameter `iommu=soft` to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX
After that`update-grub` , `reboot`

It seems nothing wrong for me..
Did you test read speed using SSD not hard disk? or directly attached hard disk to sata, and comparing speed
(`hdparm -Tt /dev/sdX`)

Thanks for this. I had other terminal issues which is why I put the USB speed issue on the backburner..

I just ran your command and received the following:

So according to this.. I guess all is well right?

If it is HDD speed through USB, then 153.62 MB/sec. it is not bad, little slow but i think it is normal
I don't know which model sde is
mine, 7200 rpm 3TB hdd was 190 mb/s

what hdd and what interface(sata or usb) is used in your test?

It is a Samsung D3 station external USB3 hard drive, 4TB, 7200rpm. 190 is great; I'm just happy with the knowledge that my configuration/hardware is operating correctly.

I don't know what is inside the D3, but I think it is a Seagate drive. I will be opening it up later today in order to install it into the NAS
