BTW, If I am running Debian 7 Stable, am I amble to just install the packages into my debian system?

no, you have to wait for 0.6
the coming 0.5 is still based on Debian 6 Squeeze -
bummer!

You can try this: http://forums.openmediavault.o…t=1794&hilit=wheezy#p9382
but without support if anything isn't working as expected. Why not installing 0.4 from ISO?

Well basically, if i'musing debian, while install a separate debian, esp an earlier version?
Then i can do everything in one system... my OMV, Plex Server, Internet (chromium), transmission, handbrake, minitube, pithos, audacious, vlc, etc... printer, libre office.... etc

You can do all of that with Squeeze in one Installation.
Install Debian Squeeze 6.0.7 with gui yourself and throw omv at it. Done. Install your programs as needed.
