Upgrade kernel to the most recent one

Hi,

I'm affected by the problems with Intel wlan cards (yes, I know I should connect NAS to the ethernet cable but need to use my NAS over wlan ) - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/944271 - which exists even in the 3.2 kernel available in backports for Squeeze. How to upgrade to the most recent kernel (like 3.9.x or 3.10.x)? Is e.g. this guide safe:

BTW, any estimation when we may expect OMV release based on wheeze? Newer kernels are available in wheeze backports.

If the kernel does not work correctly you can always fallback to the standard kernel.

No estimation, but OMV 0.6 will be based on wheezy. Alltough 0.5 has not yet been released, it is on the horizont.

Thanks for a prompt response!
Indeed, I can always switch back to the working kernel. So, I gave it a try and OMV seems to work perfectly well after the reboot. Now testing my wlan network for stability.
