Why doesn't anyone just use the Debian version of Plex

  • Probably a dumb question, but why doesn't anyone use the latest Debian build from Plex? I see that it is abandoned, but that was done in April of this year, September of last year like the plugin...

    Just curious

As far as I know, Plex never had a debian build. They only have an Ubuntu build. We did use the debian build from the dev2day repo. omv-extras adds the official plex repo because the ubuntu build works. That said, using docker is recommend now.
