Unofficial Plugin Repo for 0.5 Sardaukar, 1.0 Kralizec, 2.0 Stoneburner, 3.0 Erasmus, 4.0 Arrakis

  • Sure, you can decide to remove my copyright notices (Name and E-Mail) without asking for permission... And claim every work for you. That is exactly how Opensource and GPL Projects work. /Irony off
Maybe you should do this with the OMV Sourcecode, too? I think Volker would be really happy about this.

Maybe Sub is to blame, maybe not. But, he removed every Copyright, and not you.

  • Yeah, and we are pro coders expected to know all the rules and etiquette. I'm the last person that should be blamed for not knowing all this. So are we going to work together or not?

And claim every work for you.

How is putting OMV Developer Group taking ownership or recognition? I think that is the opposite. It is people wanting to be anonymous. We were thinking team approach, not individual. We are working as a team. We do not care about recognition. We care about OMV being the best opensource NAS software. You know why this mistake was made from our pms. It was fixed right away. Was it not?

  • Ok, I just setup another OMV machine last night to test it out prior to replacing my old OMV machine. When trying to get the OMV_Extra plugin, this is the result, with the errors.

Am I doing something wrong or have i missed something? The last time I setup an OMV box was back on 0.2.
    Thanks,
    Ted

  • Install the *.deb package via the webinterface upload. Also http://shell.ninthgate.se is the repo for the Plex Media Server which was unreachable in the moment you tried to update.

You may also need to run "apt-get -f install" on the commandline when installing with dpkg.

  • Actually, I tried that after posting that and it worked. I don't know if I am getting the following errors when clicking the Update button in the Plugin area on the WebGUI, is due to the problems getting through to ninthgate.se repo being down or not. If that isn't the case, where should I look for problems?

  • tekkbebe,
Thanks for that. I was wondering how people were doing that. Something else I learned today. Yesterday was to turn off the serial ports when trying to install OMV! <Faceplam!> (The first box that I installed OMV on, had the serial ports turned off for other reasons before the install, so I didn't run into it last time.)

    ryecoaaron,
When Ninthgage comes back, I won't get the error when hitting the Update button?

    You shouldn't get any errors.

  • I just saw you included rsnapshot nice! Haven't tried the plugin yet but i've set it up manuelly and it's a blessing.

As for the copyright argument back there, don't be so tight about it. I can understand your frustration, but I'm pretty sure if you ask them nicely they will put your name somewhere. It's not like they're makeing a ton of money or win a nobel prize with your code.

  • Hi!

I've tried all method to install omvextrasorg plugin, but after install it, I couldn't get list of plugins. Always give the "communication error".
In this case I have to install plugins through terminal. :)

  • This happened to me too after installing linux-base, linux-image-2.6.32-5-486, linux-libc-dev after removing the omv-extras-org-sardaukar.list file from /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ the plugins page worked again. dunno what is wrong, but something is...

    What does the following show:

    dpkg -l | grep transmission

    dpkg -l | grep transmission
ii openmediavault-transmissionbt 0.5.6 OpenMediaVault Transmission (BitTorrent client) plugin
    ii transmission 2.82-1 transmission 2.82
ii transmission-cli 2.75-1-15~1.gbp4ed609 lightweight BitTorrent client (command line programs)
ii transmission-common 2.75-1-15~1.gbp4ed609 lightweight BitTorrent client (common files)
ii transmission-daemon 2.75-1-15~1.gbp4ed609 lightweight BitTorrent client (daemon)

  • I guess the package I made only was part of the transmission group. I just don't enough about transmission to make newer packages. I'll look into it a little more.

  • I'm having an issue with the openmediavault-transmissionbt 0.5.6 plugin. Everything installs fine, however when the web admin page refreshes it just goes blank. Removing openmediavault-transmissionbt 0.5.6 brings it back, so it's has to do with the plugin package and not transmission itself. The blank page still has everything in the source (from view source) so I think it's an issue with the javascript it's putting into the page. The issue happens with firefox and IE.

Fresh install, updated to 0.5.11 before I did anything else.

  • It's installed on an ESXi VM. Definitely not full
