"Device '/dev/sda' does not exist." not found on OMV installed on Debian container

  • Hello, I am trying to using OMV on a Debian container hosted on Proxmox but got a problem saying "Device '/dev/sda' does not exist." wherever I am trying to access functions related to disks - there are no sda or sdb or nvme0p1, etc. in containers. But other than that everything looks to be fine. Is there a way to avoid the disk requirement and maybe share a folder where the OS is or something? Is that achievable? Thank you so much!

OMV does not work in containers. It is looking for real hardware that containers don't have.

Nope. You will have to use a VM.
