Missing one of four drives in RAID management

  • Hi community,

I'm wondering if you may give me advices to solve a problem during my OMV setup (I'm not familiar with linux, but motivated to learn :-)).

    HP Microserver Gen7

OMV (Version: 5.4.2-1) installed on a 120 GB SSD (sda)

All four HDD Drive Bays are supplied with 2 TB HDD’s (sdb, sdc, sdd, sde)

Actually, I’m hanging on RAID setup (I’d like to get RAID6 with all 4 HDD’s)

I see all HHD's within the “Disks” Tab (sdb, sdc, sdd, sde), refer RAID1.jpg

They are all fine in the S.M.A.R.T Tab (sdb, sdc, sdd, sde), refer RAID2.jpg

When I try to build the RAID in the related Management, I see only 3 Drives (sde missing), refer RAID3.jpg

    What went wrong? Any advice?

Storage -> Disks select the drive click wipe on the menu, (this should be done with all the drives) I am assuming this is a clean install and these drives have no data on them from a previous OMV raid setup.

Raid is not a backup! Would you go skydiving without a parachute?
