Firewire controller initialization failure

hello all,

i run OMV the last year in a virtual environment, under ESXI 5, using PCI passthrough.
i have a firewire 800 controller, with 2x2tb external disks..
all these were working, until last week, when i shut down OMV to move the computer somewhere else..
after moving, OMV cannot see the firewire disks, and the error is:

updated OMV to the latest version not helped..
any suggestions ?

Did you try the backports 3.2 kernel? There is a button to install it in the omv-extras plugin.

Update the bios of the motherboard??

It's running on a HP Proliant ML110 G6 with the latest bios..

and it was working a month ago.. this is the strange..
updated OMV from 0.4 to 0.5 also..

Not sure what it is. OMV 0.4 and 0.5 both use Debian Squeeze. Maybe a Debian update is causing the problem.
