I have just upgraded my NAS hardware for smaller and faster internals, including a IBm ServeRaid M5015 sas card.
(gigabyte GA270n-wifi, i7 7700, 32GB ram,node 304 case)
I am hoping to use it to pass through my 5 x 8tb wd reds and another 3TB drive for temp files.
The card however will not let me put it in sata passthrough or jbod mode. Has anyone used this card and flashed it to i.t mode?
You have to actually create virtual disks and hw raid pools in the card firmware before they are recognised in OMV.
