Want to take out my Pi 3B+ and use a new Pi 4, can i?

Hey there, noob here....

I have OMV5 running with a Seagate 6Tb external drive and want to upgrade the Pi 3B+ that is currently running it, to an extra Pi 4 4 that i have.

I searched the forum for any guides but after different search terms, i still have nothing. What do i have to do? I tried just putting the SDHC card from the Pi 3 system into the Pi4 and that didnt work.

Do i just need to set up the new Pi 4 with a new SDHC card and OMV5 and then plug in the USB drive and all will be the same as it was? Are the settings carried over?

Any advice? Thanx!

You'll need to reinstall omv 5 for the pi 4.

Connect your external drive

Set up any shared folders in the webUI again by pointing them at the shares on the usb drive

Set up new shares folders with services.

Damn, so no way to export the settings? Have to go through the entire thing again?
