Backup on the network with OMV?

    It depends :)


    What do you mean by

    - make backups (OMV ist not a backup software)

    - network scale (you will most likely not be able to create a complete backup of the internet)


    What do you want to backup (clients, servers, OMV itself?

    If you got help in the forum and want to give something back to the project click here (omv) or here (scroll down) (plugins) and write up your solution for others.

    That is easy (given the network bandwidth)

    - Use the backup plugin to backup the OS disk to a data disk

    - use rsync to backup the shares to one of the targets.


    Or, if you do have loads of data

    - use zfs and build some scripts wit hzfs send / receive
