Hi recently I seen a video online about turning a pi 4 into a nas.. im completely new to omv.. i followed a YouTube video and installed omv 6 on my R Pi 4 and setup everything up.. my samba shares are showing in windows but cant see them on my nvidea sheild. Please help.. thanks.

Ive installed OVM 5 and my shares are seen by the sheild now.. anyone know why i cant see them jn OMV 6?

Check the smb protocol the nvidia shield is using.

Hi Ive been on the nvidea forums and was told it was SMB V3 it uses... also there is mention about NetBios...ive been googling around and i belive its disabled in OMV6? How do i enable it? Thanks

Sorted.. got help from a freind who is confident with command line.. netbios enabled and all working now

i was Able to mount samba share with open media omv 5 on shield tv network storage i cant do that now with omv 6 @DundeeDude can you please provide me with the command line to enable netbios
