Collectd error when I try to enable UPS remote monitoring (checkbox from UI).

  • Hi,

I have collectd error when I try to enable UPS remote monitoring from plugin settings (checkbox):

To get it working again I have to remove openmediavault-nut running the following command:

    apt-get remove openmediavault-nut

At this point, if I try to install NUT again from the UI, in the settings plugin I find the plugin already activated, but with the remote monitoring checkbox deactivated. As I try to activate it I get the error again with collectd. How can I do to solve?

    Thank you

P.S. it's the last remaining problem, after a problematic upgrade from OMV 5 to 6

  • Code
    # dpkg -l | grep collectd

In the meantime there have been some updates, but I haven't tried reinstalling the plugin.

Please ensure the system is up-to-date and all packages are in the latest version. The mentioned collectd 5.12.0-7.1 should be ok because it is the patched version that is shipped by the openmediavault package repository which includes the nut module which has been stripped in the Debian version.

  • I installed the plugin, then enabled remote control and applied the configuration change. This time it worked. Previous updates have almost certainly fixed the problem. Thank you.
