He needs to download 6.0.4 and install with dpkg -i

He needs to chown this:
chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/owncloud

Ask him if he created a share and is trying to use a share or is using default location on system drive. The data folder may not have been moved to his share and we will need his share locat (e.g. /media/uuid/owncloud)

If he created a shared folder we need to move /var/www/owncloud/data to the shared folder because the plugin is not doing it.

Here is to fix his error message. David you need to help on this:

SSL issue, omv cert and cert used in owncloud should be the same and common name match ipof omv as this is what is put in for trusted domain at /var/www/owncloud/config/config.php
Four things must match:
1) how you connect http://ipofyouromv/owncloud (if you use a hostname to connect the following variable would change accordingly)
2) certificate your OMV uses in ssl cert common name must match ipofyouromv
3) certificate that ownCloud uses ssl cert common name must match ipofyouromv (just use same cert you used for your omv)
4) The ipofyouromv must be in the trusted domains of this file /var/www/owncloud/config/config.php
