[RESOLVED] Can it be fixed?

  • First let me apologize if this seems stupid. I'm a noob.

I am running Krazilec on Wheezy and everything was going well. System was up and running and my mail server was in a VM
This morning I attempted to install roundcube and got this error:

    How do I fix it?

Go to System | Update Manager | Settings and enable Pre-released updates.

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.2 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4 | scripts 7.0.1

omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github - changelogs

Please try ctrl-shift-R and read this before posting a question.

  • Yes I tried that but no joy. I don't know if this is importnt but from looking at the error the system seems to be complaining that I'm trying to install an older version of what is being expected?

"Depends: openmediavault <>= 1.0.7 but 1.0.6 is to be installed"

Click Check on the Updates tab. 1.0.7 is ready now without the pre-release repo enabled.

  • Thanks for that and your response.
The situation seemed to be getting worse so I took the decision to rebuild the box.

BTW last time I checked the link to the repo had a capital "K" where it should have been "k". Has it been changed?

  • you mean in the repo file, it should be all small letters.

If you messed with the pre-release repo I recommend doing this....

Disable the pre-release repo and then:

    apt-get update

Then do this again to reinstall the package manually:

    Code
    wget http://packages.openmediavault.org/public/pool/main/o/openmediavault/openmediavault_1.0.7_all.deb
    dpkg -i openmediavault_1.0.7_all.deb
