Network configuration is rebuild on installation right before the reboot, but if the procfs is not updated by the system itself after you've modified grub, then OMV does not recognise that IPv6 is disabled.

I am always booting the installation media with ipv6.disable=1 so procfs should be aware of it and I see it that in /target grub files

Hey again,
you are right, procfs is populated with ipv6. I made few more tests and problem is that I added ipv6.disable=1 after the "--" (double dash) in the kerne params which was treated as filenames. If I remove double dash, everything is working fine so that was completely my fault.
