Is it worth migrating from approx 8 docker containers to kubernetes on a RPI5

  • I have quite a simple docker setup at home on my rpi5. It is all working well. A few of my docker containers are running in a single compose. And I have a couple of separate compose / containers that need to talk to each other.

Is it worth me investigating moving my docker setup into kubernetes?

OMV 7 (latest) on N100 Minipc (16GB) and RPI5 (8GB). OS on SD card. System ext4 on SSD. Data BTRFS on HDDs

I would say only if you want to learn kubernetes. If you docker setup is working, I wouldn't change. The tools are quite different and take some getting used to. If you do want to learn, kompose does a great job converting existing compose files into kubernetes recipes.
