Upgrade to OMV 7: Errors were encountered while processing: openmediavault-snapraid

  • I upgraded to OMV 7 and it seemed to go through smoothly, but at the end I got a line saying

    Zitat

Errors were encountered while processing: openmediavault-snapraid

I also wasn't able to log on after the upgrade, getting a 502 error, but the fix6to7upgrade script remedied that.

    However, Snapraid isn't working properly.

When going to "Settings", I get

    Zitat

    Error

The property 'syslog' does not exist in the model 'conf.service.snapraid'.

    "Arrays" is empty.

    Going to "Drives" yields this:

Any ideas how this can be fixed?

Uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling might be the best option. The plugin is fixed now. I had a typo that corrupted the config for non-parity drives.

  • Thank you so much for your reply. I had a few more error messages, so I got a bit spooked and restored the last OMV 6 Backup. I am planning to move the install to a new machine (Asrock Deskmini A300 with Ryzen 4650G instead of Deskmini A300 w/ Athlon 200GE) and will probably retry afterwards.

  • I had a similar issue but I think a different root cause

    Code
/usr/share/openmediavault/confdb/migrations.d/conf.service.snapraid_6.2.sh: 41: Syntax error: "fi" unexpected (expecting "then")
ERROR: Failed to apply migrations: Command '['/usr/share/openmediavault/confdb/migrations.d/conf.service.snapraid_6.2.sh']' returned non-zero exi t status 2.

I took a risk since the snapraid file was older than the other plugins, I moved it to another folder. and re-upgraded. dpkg was no longer broken. I then ran the fix6to7upgrade script and it is alive!

EDIT: Looks like the configuration for snapraid did not migrate.

EDIT2: I reconfigured the snapraid array, and I *think* I'm good to go.

I guess I should've just left the migration script alone...

Fixed and 7.0.10 in the repo.

  • So... After moving my disks to the Deskmini X300 with a new CPU, I tried it again. Weirdly, it seems to have gone smoothly this time. Didn't even use the 6to7 script. Will see how it runs.
