q8/webp packages building now. Takes 15 mins even on an i7-2600k. Would hate to see how long it takes on RPi...

q8/webp won't build. Trying just q8. Will that work?

All the packages are there otherwise Q16 would have issues and it builds just fine. Even 6.9.1 builds fine but not the debian way.

    Didn't feel a thing...

The debian packaging builds more than one package. Here are all of them.

  • Individually most of these packages are not installing. Dependencies missing or cannot find archives. The checkinstall package I did must have all these inside one package. The size of the package I did was 18 MB. I checked to see if I could install from apt-get instead of dpkg but not pulling the packages so I assume they are not added to testing repo but just reside there.

Look at file sizes from package I did, in attached pic. licMagickCore is 31MB alone.

  • Aaron, what machine are you trying to build this on???

    root@kralizecvm: dpkg -i libmagickcore-6.q16-2_6.8.9.9-5_amd64.deb
    dpkg: regarding libmagickcore-6.q16-2_6.8.9.9-5_amd64.deb containing libmagickcore-6.q16-2:amd64, pre-dependency problem:
    libmagickcore-6.q16-2 pre-depends on dpkg (>= 1.17.6)
dpkg is installed, but is version 1.16.16.

    dpkg: error processing libmagickcore-6.q16-2_6.8.9.9-5_amd64.deb (--install):
    pre-dependency problem - not installing libmagickcore-6.q16-2:amd64
    Errors were encountered while processing:
    libmagickcore-6.q16-2_6.8.9.9-5_amd64.deb

BTW- Version 3.0.5597.1 is running on my system and it is best version yet.

The system is a fresh install of OMV 1.x amd64. It is my development system.

What happens if you download all of the .debs and use dpkg -i *.deb?

  • I have a 2 small "problems" or well let's call it inconveniences.

    1) Whenever I use the web interface the loading of the pictures/thumbnails is very slow, sometimes a minute or so until all appear.

I have a Xeon 1226v3 so processing speed should not be the problem. Network speed is mostly WiFi but I get 25mb/s on the spot I tested it a couple of times. The caching directory in /var/lib/mediabrowser is on a SSD, so that is most likely not the bottleneck either.

    2) Since I am on emby once in a while the process hangs anf maxes out one of my cores resulting in a permanent CPU load of 25% total. It always happens after emby start - so for now I just checked back after 5 min. or so, but in the longer term that is quite annoying.

Any suggestion for my two issues? Would it help u guys to set log to debug?

    thx

    Edit:
Ok I cannot reproduce it at the moment. I will report back when I can.

  • 1. Refresh the page f5. You'll see it restarts loading the remnant images but preserving the already cashed ones.
    2. Look for some bad media. It may be trying to get metadata from an incompatible file. Try to temporary disable automated scanner and so.

Sorry, eating with family in law.

  • lol thx.

Sometimes all cover art is displayed within an instant, so I doubt it is bad files. When I am correct it should gernerated cover art and so on when the file is added and store the files for quick access under /var/lib/mediabrowser so that they are ready when needed correct?

no hurry Sergio, doesnt need to be solved today take your time
