I couldn‘t use /srv/dev-by-disk-uuid in the first place so i put a symlink to /var/lib/docker last year.
To me, this was an advantage.
After I disabled apparmor /srv/dev-by-disk-uuid doesn‘t work either

Hey, thanks for your reply.
I just tried with disabled apparmor via grub. The error persists after reboot. Reinstall of Portainer did not work with symlink set like above.
I think I will have to wait for a docker update to solve this.
Hi,
i set up my Docker storage folder with a symlink from "/var/lib/docker" to "/srv/dev-disk-by-uuid-XXXXXXXX" but since a docker update in end of Jan/ beginning of Feb the symlink installation does not work anymore.
When I try to start docker via omv-extras page in omv webif I get the following error
Failed to execute command 'export PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin; export LANG=C.UTF-8; export LANGUAGE=; echo "Restarting docker ..." && systemctl restart docker.service ': Restarting docker ...

I would love to have the docker storage on one of my data disks again so I don't have to reinstall all dockers again when I have to reinstall OMV.
Do you guys have any hint by any chance?
Thanks in advance.
I never tried OMV6-32bit. But now im satisfied with the SMB performance of ~110MB/s.
I'm using Kernel 5.10.0-0.bpo.8-amd64. A lower Kernel will cause very poor NFS performance and 5.14.x won't boot and will stop in debug mode.
I am not saying it is the reason, but you not only changed from OMV5 to OMV6, but also from Debian 10 to Debian 11 which also has a different version of smb
I guess I forgot about that. But shouldn't the ma protocol setting use a specific SAMBA version
So, after a few hours of testing, it seems that the following settings
made me get 80-90MB/s, which is not as good as the previous 113MB/s but at least it doesn't drop to 9MB/s so I'm kind of satisfied
I tried all protocol versions from SMB2 to SMB3 to SMB3_10 and SMB3_11 and I tried buffers 65536/2( 32768 ) and 65536*2 (131072) and 65536 gave the best results.
SO_SNDBUF and SO_RCVBUF are the most important values to test, please do several test with 65536 , 65536/2=32768 and 65536x2=131072 and see if something change
It was working under OMV 5.X without additional settings, so I wonder why I should have to set these values now in OMV6. I'm using OMV since v0.7 and I never had to set these additional settings.
I will try anyway and will post an update.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi i've upgraded my system from OMV5 to OMV6 lately and the Windows SMB transfer speed drops from 113MB/s to 9MB/s. Sometimes after 20 sec, sometimes after a few minutes. It doesn't matter if it's from NAS to my PC or vice versa. Under OMV5, the transfer speeds where rock solid at 113MB/s.
I've allready tried the suggestions from here and here.
But the problem still persists.
iperf shows around 900Mbit between NAS and pihole.
When I copy filesd from my Windows PC over FTP, I get 112MB/s.
I'm out of ideas and any hints would be appreciated.
Hi,
I got it working after I set a passive port range in the ftp section and forwarded these ports also on my router.
Usually you get a log if you use filezilla to connect to the server.
Maybe I could help you.
Hey,
Sounds really strange....
Why should your system establish an SSH connection to somwhere else....
Have you tried editing the port settings for the autoshutdown plugin in the webgui? Try adding a value -> save -> deleting the value -> saving again....
Maybe the cofig was not saved correct.
Thanks for that.
Do you know what device in your network have the IP 192.168.178.28?
Did you copy your OMV config from a previous installation?
You could try to list all connected users by
who -a
or list all established ssh connections with
netstat -tnpa | grep 'ESTABLISHED.*sshd' I'm guessing you're from Germany, so you can replace "ESTABLISHED" with VERBUNDEN
OK, I didn't knew that...
I think Port 22 is set by default with a few other ports. Port 22 is used for SSH connection. If you where connected through putty or some other terminal app, this might be the reason your machine won't shutdown.
Hi,
can you post a screenshot of your autoshutdown config and the log file?
Maybe I can help you.
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet"
so bearbeiten:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet video=DP-1:d video=DP-2:d video=eDP-1:d" <- hiermit werden die Display Ports deaktiviert.
for p in /sys/class/drm/*/status; do con=${p%/status}; echo -n "${con#*/card?-}: "; cat $p; done
Da an diesem Anschluss kein Monitor hängt, kommt keine Verbindung zustande.
