I did forget about that and this is why it was not working for me.

Thank you, Soma. I though that if they made a script on https://tteck.github.io/Proxmox/, it was recommended.
Thank you for your advice. I will install in a VM in this case.
Hi folks!
I am trying to set up OMV via Proxmox. I installed it as a LXC using the command from this site. I have 2 extra drives (one is added an LVM and the other as ZFS) besides the main one where OMV is installed. Because it is not set up as VM, I do not have access to hardware so I can add the drives. And for sure they are not accessible inside of OMV.
Any suggestions on what I can do? I would really like to run OMV as an LXC and not a VM as it takes up less resources.
Thank you so much!
Thank you, macom!
I found this video where it says that spindown is not such a big issue anymore with newer tech
Building a Power Efficient Home Server!
And yes, they are connected via USB and more specifically via a usb hub. I use most of the HDDs rarely. Some not even once a day.
Thank you! I will do that!
Hi folks!
I have OMV running on a laptop with EXT4 storage on external HDDs. The HDDs are burning hot when not in use by me.
I know there are some options at Storage / Disk / Edit / Advanced Power Management and I am guessing this where I should make some changes so that the HDDs shut off when not in use. But I do not know for sure that this is the right approach and what setting to choose for my specific case. 3 HDDs are for storage, 1 is for torrents and 1 is for Docker containers.
Thank you so much for all the suggestions!
And what changed from two days ago? Have you made any changes to the monitoring settings in the GUI? Have you applied any update?
I opened the dashboard with all the widgets on a new Windows PC. Maybe this could be it. But the problem is on the old Windows laptop. I will check to see if there are any differences if I have it opened on one machine or the other
Ok. Must be going blind. Or more probably I was expecting something else and did not see the obvious. Luckily, I found this thread. So I found Extra options.
Thank you, macom. I thought it had something to do with the solution presented earlier. Which as I whole, I did not and still don't understand how to apply.
I looked in OMV and I looked inside of SMB/CIFS -> Advanced settings and I do not have Extra Options. Should I activate something somewhere so that I can have extra options?
Thank you, macom. I didn't know about it. Unfortunately I don't understand how to use that information. I am still a newbie.
Am I supposed to run the bash in ssh? And where should that file be added?
Thank you again! I will try to also ask there as well.
BTW, I am guessing there are no other solutions out there?
In the end, I "fixed" it by re-installing OMV 6.
Hi folks!
I managed to setup SMB. And I created 2 users. User 1 has access to all folders and user 2 has access to only a few folders, but he can see the other folders that he does not have access to. What should I change in order for user 2 to not see the folders he does not have access to?
Thank you!!
And this is the output of sudo journalctl -u php7.4-fpm | tail -n 20 after I restarted.
