    I didn't say that.

    But if he was trying to bulk change all the permissions on all the files in a directory such as a drive's root that had quota files in it, some type of error is going to be reported because even root can not do that to those files…

    The aquota.* files have that bit set and since the server admin didn't set them he could easily be completely unaware of this property.

    Only root could set that bit. I assume the server administrator would know if he had done it. I think there has to be another reason.

    Hi guys ,how do i create a FTPS or SFTP connection on omv7? do i need a plug in for it? the regular FTP is running good but obviously is not secure .

    i changed my pc, to be more powerfull....

    i have a problem:

    http://192.168.1.77:8096/web/index.html?#/login.html

    on omv, i create a user for only this part, with a good password.

    But, i can not log in: it says that my user or my password is…

    Is there a reason why I recieve a email advising of what package updates are available, but when i goto the dashboard there no notification to say there is any

    If I do a manual System > Update Magement >updates then click search it finds them

    I don't think the disk is failing. Most disks in the share are HDDs, some are pretty new SSDs. I specifically started removing disks with SMART errors and replacing them with SSDs, I don't think any of these files are on the SSDs
