    try to force import from a shell.

    first do a zpool import and if fail try zpool import -f

    True. I believe encrypting your drives gives you peace of mind in a few more cases though: If your drive fails and you want to send it back to the manufacturer or just throw it away, it might not be possible to wipe your data properly with the tools…

    I'm desperate in setting up the notification in OMV.
    First I tried with one of my gmail Accounts with MFA enabled and the App-Password. No success.
    Next try with "my" mailserver provided by a cloud. No success either.
    Tried different ports/authentications…

    For whatever reason the array is inactive, the question is why?

    First try;

    mdadm --stop /dev/md0 wait for the output 'mdadm stopped' then;

    mdadm --assemble --force --verbose /dev/md0 /dev/sd[bcde] check the output with cat /proc/mdstat
