The next problem I am having is transferring large files from my Win 7 desktop to the OMS. I can transfer smaller files no problem through my network so I'm thinking my permissions are set ok but when i try and transfer a 2GB or larger file (DVD Rip) it gets part of the way then tells me a connection error. Is there someplace I'm missing to adjust for the max size of files that can be transferred? Thanks for all the help!

What protocol is this samba?
-
How are you transferring the files? Samba I assume?
-
Well on my windows 7 machine I look on networks then click on the server and log in then click to open the folder I want to put the file in and drag it from my desktop in to there. That has been working with other files fine so far. How can I find the protocol in SMB? I do not see anything that says protocol under SMB.

In which section of omv did you setup your shares?
from your description sounds like samba
Can you confirm that? -
Yes, under the smb/cifs tab
-
Strange, enable the debug log level in smb/cifs section, execute a transfer wait for it to break. Then put the log in pastebin.org
You can download the log in the Diagnostics -> systems Logs -> select smb
-
Also paste the syslog please in pastebin.org
-
Ok did that but that website says I'm over limit without a premium account. Attached is the system log and after switching to SMB there was nothing there.

I see a file The Bounty.mp4 is that the one?
You're using a NTFS formatted drive is there a reason why you don't have in native linux format ext4?Also can you post here this command from terminal df -h
-
The drive is formatted that way from when it was in Windows. and it looks like I will need to go back to Windows server again. Thank you again for helping out a dumb old guy.
