Hi, now i ha 2 nas a ReadyNAS nv+ ans a readynas Duo V2, i am using 5HDD (around 7 TB), i like to build a dedicated PC to NAS with OMV, it is possible migrate the HDD's directly from Ready nas to OMV without losing data or i need to transfere the data from old NAS to OMV by copy and paste?
Change from ReadyNAS to OMV

Depends on what filesystem ready nas uses. Any insight about that?

The NV+ uses ext3 and the Duo v2 ext4

There should be no problem then with ext3 or ext4
I have to add that sometimes this devices have custom stripped down kernels. Sometimes they disable features in the fs, you might encounter that OMV refuses to mount because of the defaults options it uses. If you have any issues just post here again we can work it out to disable some of the features in your system for omv to mount them

Thanks, when i buid the nas server, will give a feedback

I find the simplest way to do this is to create a good backup, create the new system, then restore the data from the backup to the new system. It takes longer, but then you know its fresh and not using some legacy stuff from your old system.
